| I've been stuck with a sore throat-turned head cold-turned chest cold for the past week that has pretty much turned my life into brief periods of being at work, followed by longer periods of laying semiconscious on the couch. Thankfully by this point all that's left is a on-again-off-again cough and some fatigue.
What's left of the party in my SR campaign (namely my hacker and the face) ended up on the lam in LA. This is my first look at the rest of the world in Shadowrun, and I'm enjoying the contrast between Seattle and there. Plus, exploring sunken highrises for loot strikes a Cowboy Beebop chord in me.

| Oh, right, nicotine. That's why I've felt like shit this weekend.

| We just lost 2/3rds of the party in my Shadowrun campaign. For anyone looking to learn from our mistakes, I suggest learning about free spirits, and then avoiding them. Or at least not trying to assassinate one in the bathroom mob-style. Particularly not with a .22 pistol. Also, should you try heavier weaponry, make sure you can kill it, as wounding one will just make it angrier.
In other news, one of my friends gave me an old keyboard, which works better then the one I had did, and was free, so I think I won.

| The keyboard on my desktop just died on me. This is the third I've killed in the life of the machine, which is almost enough to make me reconsider my keyboard selection process of walking into Walmart and buying the cheapest one I see. I'm certain I could find a quality keyboard for a reasonable price if a little bit of work, but when my computer is reduced to an overpriced desklamp/space heater combo, I'm not in the mindset to shop around. Or wait for delivery from an online order. So the cycle repeats.

| I just sanitized 46 beer bottles, in preparation for tomorrow's second phase of brewing. I also had to find my bottlecapper, which was a task in itself--I haven't used the thing in 2 years, so it had migrated to the garage, where it had been made into a temporary shelf for the torque wrench. The best part of this round of brewing is that I'm actually just helping one of my friends, so I get to do the fun stuff, while he gets stuck scrubbing the wasps' nests out of my fermenting buckets and cleaning off enough tabletop room in his apartment to bottle 5 gallons of beer.
In other news, I fell prey to laziness over the weekend. As a result, all the mini painting I managed was one coat of green paint of a Catapult. But I did see No Country for Old Men. And Resident Evil.
